Hi all...I have a client who does not remember his PGP passphrase and the WDRT token does not work either. I've entered the token in about 25 times since yesterday and EVERY known password that he can remember to no avail. I've tried the recovery disks found here http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?pag..., but every time I boot from the first recovery disk, the PGP boot guard screen pops up. I'm holding the option key while booting up and it shows the pgpboot disc.
The client is currently has a Mid 2013 MBA, running Mac OS X 10.7.5, PGP Desktop 10.2.1.and is a domain joined machine. According to the PGP server, the status shows 'Unencrypted'. However, I do not know what that means in relation to 'decrypted' or 'encrypted'. Is there a way to boot into CLI and decrypt the drive (if it's even encrypted)? Data retention is the most important factor here, and I cannot figure out how to bypass PGP bootguard so he can start working on his own machine.
He does not have any backups and he never utilized time machine so unfornately, that is not an option. Any help is appreciate, and please let me know if you need anymore info regarding the machine or PGP.
Thanks!
